Default 30' Rampage I need the truth

I am looking at a 30' Rampage to buy. I have heard now that it is called a Slampage and its not a good rough water boat. I have heard it may give a wet ride. I live in NC and the seas are sometimes rough. I need the truth. Good boat or bad.

Best advice is to go for a ride and decide what you like/dislike.

I had a 1988 31 Rampage and it was the worst riding boat I've ever been on. My former 25 Carolina Classic took a head sea better. On the other side of the coin, it was the best drifting platform in its class. Never been on the current model Rampage but I heard the same comment as you. If you have the cash for a new Rampage then I would seriously consider the 32 Carolina Classic. There also happens to be a 2005 32 for sale on the Carolinaclassicboatowners.com site, priced well below market value.

Just a thought, good luck

Go ride different brands and see what you like. All express style boats will have a wet ride in certain conditions, nature of the beast.
