My dealer sells World Cats south of Chicago.( Calumet Marine) His boat is great and it runs great in rough water. He's a salmon fisherman and goes out in all kinds of weather. I don't know where you are located but I'm sure he would take you for a demo ride if you are a serious looker. He has a web site.
Frank Martin at Calumet Marine is a good friend (and client) of mine. He is an outstanding guy and very loyal to World Cat. He has fished his 270HT in a number of tournaments that I've been in and runs in all conditions. It is pretty amazing when Frank goes blazing by at 50 mph+, just skimming the tops of the waves. If you are interested in the 320, give Frank a call...he will give you the straight scoop. BTW, he is also one of the very best mechanics on Lake Michigan.
We chose world cat boats at calumet marine because they seem to be the best all around cat design for the great lakes. The ability to trim the front 1/3 of the hull out of the water is huge when navigating a following sea . The ability to cut the water with a sharp entry at the front of the hulls is the best for a head sea. They makes some big boats that are still trailer able .not that much room for sleeping but it a great trade off especially when you trailer to the pump and fill a 28' boat with 200 gallons of gas . They do how ever make a roomy beamy 32 and 33' models to accommodate the guys that want the luxury of a beamy boat and even then their fuel economy can not be touched by the inboard powered boats not even the newer efi inboards
engineering is and always will be a series of trade offs there is no one boat the best for all locals or occasions .
I love the ride of a world cat on the great lakes and will probably never buy another V type hull for out here on the great lakes . but that’s just my opinion
As always we offer free no obligation sea trials for the guys that want to see and experience the ride for them self’s .
But be fore warned after spending a good amount of time on a world cat on the great lakes its hard to go back to the way things where
i have one it rides better than my buddy's 32 grady. great in chop and lands really soft. not on the great lakes, but we get some nasty weather off the coast of fl.

What kind of 32 Grady does your friend have? Will he race my friend Chicken Wing in his 110 foot Fountain with a single 115 Merc? It should be a good race!

Drumstick , You are full of pure unadulterated BS. 79 mph, ......maybe km/h not mph.
