Default a new slip at a new marina

I'm moving my boat to a new marina this year one with floating finger piers. Tired of having to use a ladder to board and lugging a big azz cooler up and down. Was wondering after all the stuff i've been reading here about galvanic corrosion, and hot marinas if there was anything i should be looking for. In what proximity does my boat have to be to the "offender" in order for it to be a problem for me. Maybe im worried about nothing but just thought maybe i could get some good info here.

No, I don't think you're worried about nothing. If I kept my boat in the water at a marina I would be concerned that I had the right amount and placement of sacrificial anodes and that the metal thru-hulls were bonded. There is considerable stray current at a marina.

Here's an example for you. At the beginning of the season, there was a problem with the power at my marina. After about 2 months, my engine bracket zincs were almost gone. After the problem was fixed, the replacement zincs looked brand new when I hauled her out at the end of the season. Zincs are cheap and easily replaceable.
