Default on/off on an armstrong bracket ?

i have some waterline scum that i needs to clean with on/off. it says "cleaner for fiberglass" but i would like to use it on my eng. bracket that is color matched to the boat (05 parker). anyone ever dont this ? i certinally dont want to damage it. thanks for the input !

I used to use it on the Armstrong bracket on my Regulator without any ill effect.
