Default Outboard Shamrock

I saw a 25' Shamrock w/ a 150 Merc on sale down the road for $11,500. I know Shamrock made outboards at one point, but that didn't last long. What was the reason? The boat itself looked pretty nice. It is a CC with a nice console, what looks to be around 20 deg deadrise, notched transom, and pretty good room. I was suprised though, that this 25' had less room than my 23' Parker. I'll try to get some pics later today.

I went by and got some pictures. I'll post them tonight.

After very little surfing, I think that this boat is a 21', not 25' as advertised. I thought it looked like a veeeeeery small 25 footer. That would make the 150hp on it seem a lot more reasonable.

I really like this console design. Kinda reminds me of the larger Mako consoles. I wish mine was similar to this one.

I am not sure thats a Shamrock. The only outboard they claim to have made was a 246 hull with
twins on it. The last time I saw it it was on the eastern shore of VA. The oler models have keels
or prop pockets.

It does look like a Shamrock Console though.

I outed this on the Shamrock board. How about an answer from the owner:

It had Cape Craft stickers on the rear side where most manufacturers put their name, but they were peeled off. Of course, they still left an outline.
