Trim problem on a Yamaha OX 66, 200 hp

The trim motor cranks away but it can't lift the motor. When I assist manually it will come up and then drift back into the down position. I took the small cap of the unit that you can access when the motor is trimmed up and it oozed out some hydralic fluid so I don't think low fluid is the problem. Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you checked the manaul tilt screw that is on the side of the tilt unit? Look on the side of thetransom bracket for a small hole(12"dia or so)that you can stick a slotted screwdriver into. Make sure that screw is tight. The screw location might be in your owners manual as well.
