Locating Miami Beach area hotel for Miami Boat Show timeframe
Hello All, can someone suggest a nice/clean/quiet hotel in the Miami Beach (can go all the way north to Bal Harbour)? No need to access the "all-night party" in SoBe, just comfortable in Miami Beach is fine. I have stayed in Miami Beach and Miami for the Boatshow will little luck for a decent hotel room from the price. Any assistance is appreciated.

I wish I could give you a specific recommendation. It is getting late for getting reservations so any good deals or prime spots are probably gone. You could go to tripadvisor.com and see what folks have said about hotels you are looking at.
I have decided to stay down near Dadeland across from the mall and 2 blocks to Metrorail station. Thus I can ride this and catch the metromover to Bayfront and go from there. Also nice that I wont have to drive so I can partake of some boat drinks.
Also the price was $99 with free breakfast, free internet, free parking and right off of 826 so very easy to get to.

I found some rooms at the Doubletree Grand. This is where the in-water exhibitors have some of the nicest boats. 1770 N. Bayshore Dr. You'll be right at the marina. The catch...the rooms are 389.00/night. HaHaHa. These usually are booked a year in advance by exhibitors and the " I don't care how much it costs" group. I call another place I use frequently across from the MIA Airport. Nice place. Free Buffet breakfast. Let me know and I'll give you the contact person.

There's a Marriott right next to the Double Tree that I occasionally recommend for anglers booking night trips. I can pick them up right at the dock at the rear. Like the Double Tree it's probably over the moon in price. I believe it's listed as the Biscayne Bay Marriott and it's just north of downtown Miami. They run a whole area of pilings and temporary docks there for the in the water portion of the Boat Show each year.

Wait a whole lot longer and even the really high priced places wont be available either.
Last year we stayed at a place just south of the Airport with a nice little buffet breakfast for $99/night but it is a good bit higher now. The only thing I care about a hotel for the show is a clean, quiet, safe, relatively convenient place to stay. I dont need a resort or super fancy amenities because I am not planning on spending much time there.

Capt. Bob, your suggestions was great but they are full. Redneck Joe, I went with the Newport, great location and price. Also, the two bedroom arrangement was a great choice! Seacat, 606zpx, Bob LeMay thanks for all who responded. I really appreciate the help.

Since you're stayin' at the Newport...1/2 west on 163 st (sunny isles blvd) in the center of the divided street is a good seafood rest. Ned's......good fish..great soft shell crabs..reasonable
