Did you get any details on the Yamaha extended warranty offer? Is it their regular season thing where they give 2 free years on motors purchased between 1/1-3/31 -- including repowers? 250 HPDIs included?

Thanks

I too am from West Islip. I took the liberty to go to the show on Saturday. Was a little disapointed that Bombardier wasnt there.Bought boat at last year show so I really just went to check out some accessories. It seems it was a little scaled back from last year.

Grumpy,

I picked up an ICOM as well.
Went with the ICOM 402 with command mic option for $160, no tax and shipping included.

I'm taking delivery of a boat in Jan. w/ a Suzuki 225 EFI. Wondering if they are running any specials like the others.

If anybody noticed or if you read this before you go (Seadog 27) please let me know if you happen to see anything at their booth.

Many thanks in advance.

yamaha sales people told me, they will add 3 years on to 2years that come with the engine.the cost of purchaseing this would be $1800.I bought the 200 ox66 2 stroke engine and recieved the extended warranty. They are also giveing a 3 year warranty on 4 stroke.my understanding was, this is for any engine or boat with a yamaha engine purchased at show.the fish finder didnt include transducer,$78 more.

Wasn't as good as last year. I guess the economy has alot to do with it. I don't remember seeing Suzuki, just Yamaha Merc and Kawasaki. I like the Norwalk Boat Show better.

Flew up from Florida and decided you check out the NY show... kinda disappointed on the turn out of vendors. Guess the Fort Lauderdale show spoils us!

Some differences were...
There wasn't a crowd.

The BUD girls had warm clothes. Thank god for that by the way as they were not what you wanted to see anyway!

Only one rod manufacturer... that was ok since it was Chaos and that's who builds my rods anyway!

The new Whaler was an awesome boat BTW!

Saw the new Tritons... Overpriced and not impressed!

Lack of a crowd made it easy to talk to the vendors that were there!

One boat dealer told me that the new Evinrude had a 7 year warranty!! The funny thing was he was a pronouncing the company as "Bomb A Deer". He didn't have a clue and should have never been allowed to speak to customers... clueless!

Oh yeah... It was sunny but there was snow outside!

Just got back from the show and man was it slow, Baldy Suzuki wasn't there but Glacier Bay has a small area in the back and they have the Suzukis and it looked like they were offering an extended warranty I think six years you might want to check it out , Yamaha is only giving the extended warranty on two strokes not the fours.Like Grumpy said real good prices on electronics at consumers, I did pick up a nice Chaos Rod first time I've seen one pretty nice rods, show was OK not great but always fun.

I talked to a boat salesman who said Evinrude was giving 5 years at the show - don't know if this is true.
I did buy a 406 EPIRB (558.00), ICOM ICM1V handheld (169.00) and 6 type 1's with light (30.00 each) - Consumers Marine

Sea Ya,
