tilt control not working

My tilt control switch on the port side handle of my
Yamaha dual control is not working to lower or raise the engines.
The two seperate tilt controls on the dual control still work.
How hard is it to replace that switch on the handle?
The console engine tilt indicator recently stopped working as
well. I know the plastic piece of crap on the port engine
(2000 200hp OX-66 saltwater cr) is broken and I wasn't
going to bother until I pulled the boat in a month. I was also
wondering wether these two problems are related??

The same thing happened to my new Suzuki. The engine and bow tilt switches worked fine, but the switch on the throttle handle didn't. Dealer suggested I look at a connection under the console. He was able to tell me which color wire. Sure enough, it was a bad connection under the console. Anyway, look at all your connections. That is likely the problem
