Does anyone have any thoughts on whether a high speed fairing block will slow a boat down. I have one mounted about 4 feet in front of my outdrive on my 26 foot diesel panga. Another person on this forum with a flush mount on the same boat gets about 2-3 mph more than me. Maybe a key difference is that he has trim tabs and I don't or could it be the fairing block? BTW the block is trimmed down so it sticks out around 2 inches.

I put one of those big high speed fairing blocks on my Grady this year, didn't lose nothing. My vote is the trim tabs, or should I say lack of... Good luck
