Does anyone have experience with Real Extreme Trailers? They weem very similar to loadmaster, but with bigger bolts and better wiring an fender mounts. any thoughts
I just bought a LoadMaster that was rated more in weight and was less in coast. There are some things that need addressing but easy to fix like wires running through holes without rubber grometts and a few little stuff like that but no big deal. See Steve at East Coast trailer or write him and he will tell you why a Load Master!!
Actually I am getting a Boatmaster, I got confused for a moment. The trailer did not fit the boat and they sent the wrong size trailer. We had an 18K and they sent a 14,400lb as registered trailer. Components were not up to quality and starboard they put on the bunks to make the boat load easier actually scratched the boat. The Boatmaster is a lot better made trailer using all Timken bearing and top notch hardware, but it is 3K more than the reel extreme trailer. As of right now our boat is sitting on the reel extreme trailer waiting on the boatmaster b/c we don't want to tow the boat with an undersized trailer.
spearfish3...we have a custom BoatMaster under my brother's 32' Boston Whaler. These trailers are the best I've seen, by far...worth the extra $3,000more. www.Boat-trailers.com What are you hauling? Our rig weighs 15,500# with trailer. Boat fits like a glove.

Mumblerone, we are towing a 34 sea vee with a 540 cummins diesel. With all the weight over the center, we opted for the strongest trailer that we could find. Glad to hear that your brother likes his, and hopefully ours works out as well. Our opinion was the boat is useless without a reliable trailer.
Having Goodyear trailer tires may not be such a plus. Several of the premium trailer manufacturers have quit using them since they were outsourced to China.
i have a Real Extreme and have been VERY pleased. it is a tripple axel with the nice wheels and stainless disc brakes. As with most trailers they need to be set up propperly so that they are balanced. If you are not balanced and aligned things will go wrong with any trailer. I pull a 33' Ocean Hawk with twin 250 Verado's with fuel i am at 10k lbs. My trailer is on its third seasons with NO problems
Real Extreme is built with the best products in the market and LEd lights on the entire trailer as a standard I think they are now offering goodyear tires also as a standard on all models that have 14 and 15" tires
I'm happy with my Loadmaster but unhappy that Steve is no longer selling trailers.
i just talked to steve , he stll sells trailers
and from my dealings with east coast trailers you wont find a more savy person or better coustomer service anywhere period .
