Default Boat rigging tips for your Igloos

You can buy 1/2" polypro plastic used for cutting blocks on the Internet, cut to the exact size of your cooler tops.

These can be drilled and or glued down on the top of the igloo to use as a fillet and rigging surfaces. The boards also reinforce the cooler top if you seat passengers there.

If you look under the lid there a 4 indentures where the 3/16" nuts and washers can go to hold the board, and keep them out of the way so that you don't hit them with your hands.

When you lower your engine, this leaves a space to nest a cooler there. I have fastened two SS angles to sit the coolers on to bring them up to the level of your waist, providing an insulated box for Tackle, bait, fillets, or whatever, creating storage and working surfaces outside of the deck area, making more room for passengers.

Having these coolers mounted between the euro transom and the motor, also gives you a surface to support and slide your forearms on when leaning out over the motors with short rods to keep the line away from the props on fish like tuna that stay straight down.

Good tip Bull. It's funny you mention the "slashwell" area to store this cooler. I started using all of that great storage space this year when trolling. I could put a bait cooler, rigging bucket and garbage bucket back there and clear the valuable deck space for angling.

Twin vees are a good canidates as its transom is wide enough to mount 2 120 qt coolers that you can lean against them when fighting a fish or working the rods.

And on a seat 21 a livewell can be mounted between the motors, and shorter coolers can sit on the anles mounted on its sides to move the boxes back off of the eurotransom.

On small monos with notched transoms, a 54 qt can be mounted on the front lip of the single splashwell an leaned against also.
