Default Would you pay someone (a broker) to sell your

boat, and if so, how much? What if one contacts me and says he has a buyer? I wasrecently emailed about my Grady that is for sale, he hasn't said he wanted any money yet, but i imagine he will. Should I put a time limit on selling it, so if he has a buyer, then he should be able to sell it immediately? I'm not sure what to think about this.

Give him your botoom line price........if he can make some $$$ over that...so be it...you sell for what you wanted.........don't give exclusive listing...and put in writing if YOU sell it through YOUR efforts...he gets nothing

Yes, I moved my last boat through YachtJim here. He only charges 3% comission vs. the industry 10%. The only difference is that you have to show your own boat. Not worth the 7% IMHO. He does all the advertising, paper work, and takes the initial phone calls. Jim and Beth were great to deal with. They even assisted in my purchasing of my current boat. Give him a yell.

Good luck!

We have an older Hatteras that is absolutely pristine in and out. We are always approached by someone wanting the boat. So if I had to sell that boat,I don't think I would need a broker. The thing with a broker is that they have the means to advertise it maybe better than we could.
