Transducer mounting....Transom or thru-hull????

Wondering what everyone else thought. Is it worth the trouble of glassing in the thru-hull? WIll be running a 23 Regulator with a single engine.

Go with the transom. I had two on my old 23, and have two on my 26. Save some $$$

How about an in-hull. That hull is solid and the new sounders should do greath with shoot through. No holes in the bottom and nothing attached to the transom.

You really should check out Airmar's tilted element transducer. No fairing block required.
