Im going on sunday to look at a Sailfish 2360 2006 with twain yammie 115hp 4 strokes. The boat is basically loaded and the price on her is 53k before trailer/electronics. Anyone know if this is a good price on the boat? Its a bit more than i wanted to spend but if it seems right i might pull the trigger. Whats your guys opinions on this piece?
Phil
Hard to say without knowing exactly what options you're getting, but it seems overpriced--check a posting on The Hull Truth about the 218 sailfish and you'll see a price of $44m for a 2360 loaded out the door with trailer. Your boat may have more (twins, etc.) but that price should at least include the trailer and electronics, I think.

44k out the door was for a 236cc. Most 2360's are in the low to mid 50's. I have a quote for a 2360 with twin F115's for 55k, boat motor, trailer (Tragic Tilt), Pro Fish Package and Offshore Package.
im in Pennsylvania.
Yea this boat im looking at has the tournament package, the offshore package, almost every option and feature on the boat itself available. It has twin 115 hp yammie 4 strokes and thats basically it. $ batteries, dual switches, no head, t-top on it. The trailer is quoted at 2950 and the electronics i want will prolly be like 3k.
This boat seems like a nice boat, i love the 24' deadrise and 9' beam, but the 53k seemed kinda steep. Also, i wonder if the 2360 is going to be a better play than the 236. I know there is a 2005 236 brand new in GA i can get shipped up to me. That boat is a 236 sailfish CC. loaded with the same fdeatures for 37995. Im not sure what the biggest difference is between the 2006 and the 2005, but the one in GA only has a single 225 hp 4 stroke so im not a big fan of the single engines. Not to sure though!
Any help would be appreciated
Phil
The 2360 has 150 gallons of fuel. The 236 has 120. The 2360 has 2 inches more cockpit depth. Aside from that, there is not much difference except Sailfish will not make the 236 anymore and the 2360 can have twins..
I was on the 2360 the other day at the dealer when I was getting my 236 serviced. They have improved on the 236 a bit. The two things I like about the 2360 are the scuppers and the bilge access, both are improved over the 236. There were no batteries on the boat and the salesman told me they are placed in the console now, I looked for where they would be but I did not see an area where they would fit. If the batteries are in the console it would be another improvement.
I think if you can get an 05 236 for 38k you would be better off with the 236 just because of the savings involved. The difference of 15k can go a long way, unless you must have twins. I think twin 115's might be a slightly underpowered.
Look @ the photos posted by Fairgame I believe. Lots of little differences that add up to more boat. The addition of fuel and engine is a big improvement for an offshore hull. The 225 is known to be a reliable performer but lacking punch and is closer to 200hp. Marginal horsepower for the 236 or 2360 IMHO. Sailfish is becoming popular and more around as dealers in my area change all the time. Boaters World (Severna park, Md.)now even carries them, so you should be able get a good price with a little leg work.
I just bought the new 236. I powered it with twin 4 stroke 150's and I would strongly recommend this. It will run about 45 on a full tank and about 48 - 50 with half a tank or less. The layout is great. They have 4 batteries on this boat stored in the console tucked away nice and neat with easy access. You will be pleased. As far as price... I payed over 60K but it was loaded with everything. I love the boat and I come from having a 23 Regulator!
