New Specs and features on Twin Vees for 2006
I see a couple of good moves with these new owners.
Higher gunnels look like they are now coming standard on the 22 and 26' models. These caps seem plenty high for standup and are open at the bottom to mount rod holders with backing plates, and have toe room too.
Higher horsepower motors are also in there specs on the 26. Light boat tests with the 140 suzies yield 45 mph, and now you can go with 175 twin, although they give no performance data.
King cat reports that the Florida TV26 police boats with 200 will hit 60 mph but are a little squirrly,at the 22 fitted out with 135 opti's will do a little more than 50.
You will also see a price rise from last year, but their packages have larger motors, the caps and ttops, so I can't object.
Now if they would just use the foredeck space more efficiently. Maybe next year, but its good to see these changes in the 2006 advertising.
If Bolton comes on, I would sure like to ask if the TV26 will cruise at 40 at 4500 rpms with 175 opti's.
