Default bow dodger

Has anyone ever put a bow dodger on a dual console boat. I would like to put one on my scout 202 dorado. It would be a great place for the kids to get out of the sun and take a nap. All replies are greatly appreciated.

What's the question?

I think it's a fine idea and would probably work well. Any local marine canvas shop can probably make one for you. Exect to pay some dough, however, for a nice dodger made from Sunbrella fabric with stainless bows and fittings.

Here is a pic of mine. It's nice because the rear panel can be removed and the back left open. Or closed for camping and privacy with screen front and back. Also, the secret snap keeps it super tight, no flapping when running.

Why not give Scout a call? This is an option for the 202SF which I believe has the same bow as your boat.

That Cover is Awesome. Did you have it custom made? What size is your Mako? My 2 girls would love for me to get one. They used to sit in the cabin of my old boat, and often say they miss that.

Mitch, it is custom and it is great for family outings and running to the Bahamas for stowing gear. My Mako is a 254

Mako - any idea on how much the dodger cost? I was just quoted 2 prices today for a bow dodger for my 23' Sea Hunt. One was from a very well know maker and it was 2,200.00 The other quote was from someone I am not familiar with and was for 1,500. Big difference... unsure which one is the way to go.

If not mistaken mine was around 1700 so you are right there. I would take a look at some of the work from both guys. More dosen't mean better!
