What is the average cruising fuel burn of a 26 Grady White
Islander, twin 150 hp Mercury's?

Carb engines: 150 x .10 x .75 x 2 = 22.5 gph (4200 rpm, say your running 25mph, that is 1.1 mpg)

Direct Inj: 150 x .10 x .65 x 2 = 19.5 gph (4200 rpm, @ 25mph, = 1.3 mpg)

I would guess this boat needs more that 150s.

These are typical estimate values.

Thanks for the info...I recently purchased the boat and thought the initial fuel burn was high. I put it in the shop for a once over and on my last charter it was doing a much better burn ratio.

I purchased it in Key Largo and drove it down to Key West in soft seas and had a burn of less than 1gpm. Since then they tweaked the carbs and it is doing better.
