Bulk Supplier HD-100 in Connecticut/Rhode Island - The Hull Truth

Just purchased ne 250 E-TEC. Everyone says to run HD-100. Does anyone know a cheap place in CT/RI where I can buy it in bulk?

i thought one of the features of the e-tec's was that it burned very little oil? if so why would you need to buy it in bulk?

I don't know how much they burn, it's probably less than my FICHT which burned about 1 gallon for every 70 of gas, but it's still costly. One gallon of HD-100 in the factory package is about $35. Even if it burns 100 to 1, that's still $50 in oil for a canyon run.

i know a guy with an etec 90 who burned just one tank in 100+ hours, so i wouldn't worry about securing a large quantity of the 100 oil. Ran well. also. good luck with yours

I think he means buying it from a dealer who sells from a bulk supply (55 gallon drum). Usually you can save several dollars per gallon by bringing your own containers and having the dealer fill your containers from the dealer's bulk supply.

Thunnus -- Go to the Evinrude website and click on the dealer finder link. Put in your zipcode and locate the dealers in your area and then give them a call and see if they sell XD-100 from bulk.
