OK along with a bow dodger I've decided to get a three-sided enclosure. What configuration is best (pics of yours if ya got em)? full enclosure around T-top to gunwhales, or around console with wings to gunwhales?
I want to be able to get it out the way easily for fishing (pro for wings), but I'd also like to have enough room for three and maybe even enclose the seat at the front of the console (pro for full enclosure t-top to gunwhales).
Here's what I have - it fully encloses the console front and side, with easy exit/entry with a zipper top to bottom. It will keep two people dry, comfortably, but in a pinch you could have three. This setup still allows one to fish all around the boat, unlike wings.
Ignore the wrinkles, I just unwrapped them before the picture was taken.
I have the wings on my center console, I can keep five people dry while cruising. Unlike Wayne's enclosure, the wings DO get in the way while fishing. I usually just roll them up when I get to my fishing spot, it's takes about one minute per side and they are totally out of the way. Depending on sea conditions and wind, I often only have to roll down one side. The full wrap around enclosure shown above would be better for very cold days for 2 people.
I saw one on a 2003 Seacraft that encloses from the edge of the entire T-top. The guy used Stratoglass and I was told that it cost $2800.
I need to get an enclosure as the Stripers are starting to run and it is to damm cold to be out in the wind and spray. I was told I could get the same type of enclosure, from edge of T-top down all the way around without Stratoglass for 1600-1800. It just seems like allot of money for some plastic and canvas, but what are you going to do.
Here is what I have, Strataglass and Sunrella. Don't know what it cost, the boat came this way. I recall the prior owner said something like $1600.00. He did not get that amount when selling, though it sure did sweeten the deal. It is a great thing to have.
i have a 3 piece design . it looks like any othe design except that the rear portion is mounted to a stainless pole that pivots from the center console when it is flat to the gunnel when it rough. the poles also serve as a handle when the seas get rough. they cost me about 900 dollars complete. i couldnt stand keeping up with the "bat wings"
Thanks for the comebacks guys. Those are nice looking enclosures but too small for my needs. I ususally fish with three or four. Does anyone have pics of a three sided enclosure that goes around the perimeter of the t-top and secures to the gunwhale? Is it also possible to enclose the seat in front of the console?

Ray,
Regulator has the "full" enclosure you are talking about including the front of console cooler seat. I saw this setup on a new 32 Regulator last weekend in a dealer showroom in Ohio. You might even be able to see pics of it on the Reg web site??
Steve
I use the 3 sided enclosure on my center console.the sides from the helm angle up to the back of the boat or t-top,so your protected while running until you see that bird-play and need to fish.I personally wouldnt get the wings or other pieces as there hard to roll up or work with in the cold temps especially when you have gloves on.I only fish 3 guys this time of year in jersey for that reason.Dress warm and fish hard !!!!!!!!!!!!
Besides Stratoglass there is another product called Icenglass(not sure of spelling). How does this material compares to Stratoglass, pros&cons?I would consider placing this material in the front panel for better visibility, and vinyl on the sides.
jocko_nc, Drop me a line and I'll see what I can do with helping you post pictures. I know that a friend of mine helped me. The least I can do is help someone else in need.
