Default Cuddy Cabin Lock

Last weekend the key to my cuddy cabin broke off in the lock. I had to pop the lock off with a screw driver adn ruined the lock. I've tried searching the internet for parts, but can find this one.

I just need to replace the whole locking mehcanism.

Any ideas where I can locate a lock for a cuddy cabin door? My boat is a Sea Hunt Victor 215.

I've emailed Sea Hunt and two of their dealers last week...............................no response yet.

I had a similar problem when I broke the cuddy lock on my boat. I had to call the manufacturer, Wellcraft, to get an item number for the part and then call a dealer. None of the dealers I called knew what the item number was for sure without having the manufacturer pull the item number for exaclt what was used on my model and year boat.

I'd continue to try and call Sea Hunt.

Sea Hunt probably purchases them from some marine hardware supplier. You can probably find the same thing at Boater's World or West Marine. Check their catalogs or websites. I know the cuddy latch/locks on my Grady White can be purchased at Boater's World.

A bit disappointed in Sea Hunt for the first time. Guy there has not been much help finding this lock for me. I don't expect a gift, just help finding the replacement that I'd pay for.

Finally found that my lock is a Mobella which is now owned by SouthCo. Had a hard time finding their marine division, but found a local rep [who ironically is brother-in-law to an old friend]. He has been very helpful and actually went to my boat in Beaufort, NC, took off the lock and is getting me a replacement.

Having said all this, if you need a SouthCo lock for marine applications the website is http://www.southcomarine.com/; which is different division of SouthCo. I could never access this division from their main website.
