Default 200 EFI YAM or 250 4STR SUZI?

I am trying to decide between these two motors. The "winning" motor will be placed on a 2200 Nautic Star. Yamaha package at one dealer and Suzi package at another with all options the same. Also, price is very close.

Which motor will perform better all around? assuming they are propped correctly.
Which motor might be considered more reliable?

This will probably be the last chance to get a EFI motor brand new. The only downfall, that I can think of, for the Suzi is the apparent lack of a suzi trained mechanic at the dealer (dealer is a merc dealer and boat came rigged with the suzi). Should this alone scare me away from the suzi?

BTW, this is my first post here as I have been searching for some kind of help on this issue.

Thanks in advance!

If you have a suzi dealer or able to get it serviced its not make it NOT even close get the SUZUKI and never look back. JMO. EFI against a proven 4 stroke SUZUKI wow no competition.

50 more HP for virtually the same price...........if you have decent service nearby, buy the Suzie

If you have a Suziki mechanic anywhere near you then that would be the way to go without question. Those motors have a great reputation, so odds are you would only have to drive to get it serviced once per year if things go well. The Yami EFI is a great motor, but the 250 4S is a lot better for a lot of reasons: fuel economy, noise, smoke, 50 more horsepower. Both motors are very reliable.
