Yamaha F225 - 2002 0r 2003?? - The Hull Truth

I have a Yamaha 225 four stroke on a boat I just bought (2002 Grady Seafarer). The date of manufacture on the outboard is 4/02 but it also says TXRB. It is my understanding that the B makes it a 2003. Anybody know for sure?

txrb is a 2003.

So, just to be clear, the fact that it says on the motor that the date of manufacture was 4/02 does not preclude this from being a 2003 model year? I need to be sure because it was swamped before I bought it and is seized up tight. I have a powerhead I bought on eBay but will need lots of other parts I'm sure.

The year of the powerhead you bought is important to for ordering parts.
