Default Timing of Winterization

Question about when not winterizing becomes a problem.

Boat is out of the water, on the trailer. We've had a few nights that have dipped below freezing for a bit - but then the temp gets into the 40's during the day.

Is the engine at risk if we haven't winterized it yet?

Yup, big time. Is the boat/trailer indoors? Either way at least deal with the water issues ASAP.

When in doubt which direction to go, move forward.

E 16,
I'm only 2 1/2 hours north of you. The weather that we have had here would crack an un-winterized engine block.

Check/winterize it ASAP. Don't test your insurance/deductable the expensive way.

See this is why I like outboards

Of course I am the king of procrastination!!

If they are OB's eclipse - just make sure they are verticle and no harm will be done.
