Mariner 115 HP 1992 question

The last two times I have used my boat I´ve had a funny thing happen. My 1992 115HP Mariner starts OK and runs OK. However, after using it for trolling for a couple of hours and then speeding up again, it runs well for a few minutes and then it suddenly looses power, almost to the point of shutting down, but then it self corrects and continues running great all day. It only happens once (each day).
I mention that it happens after trolling, because it is the first time this has happened to me, and both times it happened after running the engine at low speed for a long period of time. Maybe it has nothing to do with this, and it is mere coincidence.
Any ideas on what can be causing this condition?
