Default Help on compression# for 99 yam SWS 200HP?

Would greatly appreciate advise:
Does anyone know cyclinder PSI spec for 99 Yam SWS 200HP?
Other then 10% or less tolerance accross all cylinders:
What PSI reading should I expect if in good condition?
What PSI reading would indicate a near term rebuild?
And lastly, what PSI when brand new?
Thanks

There is not a given spec. for compression other than 10 - 15%. All compression gauges could read slightly different.Generally the readings are anywhere from 105 to 125, but it all depends on engine temp. , throttle opening, etc.

Compression on my 94 SWS 200hp Yam was within specs when I sold it at 1350 hours. 2 years later, the guy who bought my boat is still running it. My tech said these engines are IRON. Keep it de-carbed every 50 hours and use a quality oil and you should be fine.
