How much to paint 23' hull?

If by paint you mean topsides...I can tell you a good Awlgrip job should run you anywhere between $200-225/ foot- this includes basic hull repairs on dings, scatches...prep, priming, fairing...all that---Thats sort of a base price we use at the yard I'm a service manager at-

thx...i was just asking about the outside of the hull. looking at a used boat with lettering all over the sides and want to go with a midnight blue. $20/ foot seems cheap.

I think the $20 per foot was a bottom paint price.

eb1326 is looking for the cost to paint the hull from the rub-rail down I believe.

Email gersly on here. I believe he had his hull painted from the rubrail down. He should know a round about figure..

to do the job right with acrylic urethane or awlgrip will be 2 - 3 grand.....depending on surface prep

bottom will have to stay gelcoat or bottom paint....

It may not mean anything here, since you are painting a used boat, but I got a yellow hull 23 foot Key West and the cost was $800. That's was new and done at the factory. Not sure what type of paint or coating, but it certainly has held up well and any rub marks are easily rubbed out without harming the finish.

I've been thinking of doing the 13 Whaler inside and out. Since it has quickly become the 'trainer' around here (has a 9.9), I'm apt to just leave it be for a while.
