Default Reverse control handle on Yamaha 703 Remote Control unit

Hello everyone,

Our boss has a Xpress boat with a center console. He wants to move the console to the starboard side of the hull. But the remote control is mounted on the right side of the console. This makes the throttle control handle mounted with the hand grip facing to the right. We need to be able to mount the unit on the starboard wall of the hull. To do so we must rotate the hand grip so it is facing to the left. Anybody done this before? Any help is very appreciated.

Thanks,
Curtis

From the 703 manual. Yamaha is a little weak on providing instructions.

Basically you just take out the bolt, swing the handle over to the other side and put the bolt back. Just be sure you dress the wire going to the trim switch so it won't rub and get the guide back in right.
