I washed my truck last time and per a recommendation on another site, I added a cup of vinegar to the suds bucket. Left it shinier then usual and less waterspots.
I waxed my boat with collinite last week and it looks super but does need washed from several road trips. was thinking of adding vinegar to the wash bucket for the boat but sure dont wanna strip all that wax off.
Vinegar will remove wax. It is used in car detailing to dissolve hard water stains, those nasty little circles you can get from high solids water drying in droplets. Never heard of it being used to prevent spotting.
I wouldn't use it on my wax job without planning on re-waxing.
