I'm getting new cushions for my boat in about two weeks and I keep switching colors! My wife and I are looking for a nice color that will really stand out. I was thinking of a turquoise color but I'm worried that it would be tough to keep looking good. What do you guys recommend? Or better yet, can you post pictures of yours so we can see what they look like. This will be my last opportunity to spend money on the cosmetic part of the boat so I want to do it right.
I have a small 16' WAHOO!. Bow cushion/Bench seat cushion and back pad/ Front cooler cushion in front of center console plus back pad. I am NOT doing a bimini top at this time because of cost and the fact that I never use it. If I bring he kids and wife I can tolerate the ugly gray bimini.
I know this sounds strange, but, I just saw some custom cushions on a small runabout that looked great. they were teal on top with orange piping. The sides below the piping were navy. It looks better than it sounds.

When you do get your cushions, post your pics. My buddy has a 16 Wahoo and I'm sure he'd like to see the route you went. He was recently quoted $820 by the canvas shop to replace the bow cushion, console seat cushion, and bench seat cushion and seat back.

$820? My goodnes! I wouldn't be doing it if it cost that much! I'm getting it done for $550
I am lucky since the boat will be stored in my garage. White huh? Thats what I didn't want but I may have to reconsider. You guys bring up a good point about the heat! Maybe white with some stripes?
The only trim my boat has is a black rubber bumber.
Thanks for the suggestions and advice. This is why i'm asking.
I think the Buff, Cashmere, and Ecru colors on that page*are light enough that heat would not be bad.* As a main color Ecru would go well*with various trim colors.* Such as Apricot for a large panel insert.* Or Clay Pot, Lapis, or Neptune for piping.
I did mine white with black piping. Too many teals and federal blues for me. The rub rail is black, the engine is too . Went with black fabric on the top as well.
White cleans up no problem.

I've never been a racist. I don't like the white half either.
I don't think the color will fade nearly so fast if the boat is stored out of the sun. Also, it's dark colors that show fading the worst. A pastel color can fade too, but it won't be so unattractive faded. And heck, even if the color DID fade, so what? At least you get to enjoy some nice color for several years.
the 99 donzi I owned is down the canal from me - has always used 303 on the rear seat white bolster...still looks brand new - no fade - stuff is amazing...

Have you tried 303 on the car (tires, etc.) ?
not tires but car interior - yes...exp dashboard where the UV hits...
have not tried it on leather seats though...I like lexol for that...
