Default Regulator 21 Waterline

My in-laws have a 99/00 Regulator 21 with 200hpdi hanging off the transom. With this set up the waterline at the stern is seriously off and every season a build up off of grass etc...creeps up the hull. Has anyone else seen this or had a similar experience?

The only thought I have is too move the two batteries up under the console. Moving the waterline on a 5 year old boat doesn't make sense.

thanks for your your feeback

Default RE: Regulator 21 Waterline

I recently sold my 21 Regulator but will offer you this. Moving the batteries to the console is a great thing to do for these boats.

Regarding the waterline itself, did your dealer paint the bottom up to the boot top tape or is there a space in between that gets slimed? The tape height always seemed right to me on the Reg 21 but different painters left the height of the AF paint different compared to the tape.

On most any boat you need to scrub the waterline area every so often if water kept, the growing stuff (usually the grass looking stuff) likes the sunlight and the wetness..........
