Default 704 control box

i have a 704 control box (throttle shift) for my twin 225's yammies dose this control box (throttle shift) have cables that need to be greased or dose the control box send current to shift. the books given to me has 703 & 705 nothing on 704 modles in bobk except pictues of a 704 (help please) wellcraft 290

It's been a while since I worked on a 704, but if I am not mistaken, it is a standard cable box. If you are having tight cable problems, you might have a bad bend or two in your routing, If you have to keep these bends, you might try finding a premium aftermarket cable to replace them with.
