Default 300 2 stroke or 250 4 stroke Yamaha

I am about to put a new motor on a 2003 24' Champion. The Yamaha 250 4 stroke look good. My dilemma is I could buy a new rig with a Yamaha 300 2 stroke for about a 4,000 more than it would cost to put 250 on a 03 boat. I am changing engines because I am having too much trouble with the 250 Yamaha I have now.
Would like some input
Thanks

Try a 225 Suzuki or 250 Suzuki. Don't go with the 300 two stroke,do some research on those engines.

Why would you even think of purchasing a 300 HDPI with all of the problems they have had. For resale & reliability go with the 4-Stroke.

It depends on how well the 250 pushed your boat. It it did a good job then stay with the 250, if you think you need more power go with the 300.*I would stay away from off brands* because parts are harder to find as well as service, and the resale is not there.

Why would you want be required to buy oil to burn in addition to the gas?

If you have to go 4 stroke go for the Verado....

AND What's the difference, burn oil or change oil? Still costs the same (or close)

Then it really would be a saltwater bass boat!

Maybe you can get some metal flake painted on the sides, too!

Almost every post you have made is a hype for Suzuki engines. So where is it that you sell these Suzuki engines?
