Worst day since new boat

Alright leave six o clock hit fishing grounds by 6;30 people catching rock everywhere. Before I get first rod in the water engine quits.. Pull the hood off no pin and all five bolts connecting flywheel broken off. Got in with half bolts duck tape and running 3mph. Five hours later found pin put back in new bolts try again pin pops all five bolts break within 3 min. had to walk in waste deep mud and water to my neck half a mile back to ramp. What in the hell could cause this . Evinrude ficht 175 no problems til now......

What year is your motor? There was problems with the flywheel nuts in some motors. I think it was 97 models. Can't be sure, maybe some one else knows. Seahorse, ya out there...?

2002 after most of the issues had been elimanated. I really need someone with some mechanical know how to respond. i thought i had it fixed but the pin popping caused all bolts to break within minutes class 8 bolts. I can' t believe it. Could the pin have warped when hot anybody help me out. please.
