Re: WHERE TO MOUNT MY FURUNO TRANSDUCER ON MY MAVERICK Working at idle? Well, that's sounds like problem in how it is positioned, not where. Do you have the sensor deep enough in the water below the keel line. Remember, it needs clean water that is free of bubbles and such for a good reading.
Remember that the trailing edge will be lower than the leading edge and the leading edge should be a little bit lower than the line coming off the hull. You need to look at this will at speed to see whether or not the angle is best. If you can, leave it just loose enough to where you can adjust on the water, but to where it stays put while underway.
