Default Cabo San Lucas?

I'm taking the family to Cabo this summer and the place I usually stay is doing maintenance on the pool when I will be there. Does anybody have a recomendation for me? I'm looking for a 2 bedroom condo or something similar. Has anybody ever stayed at the Bahia Condo Hotel or Cabo Villas? Thanks.

I usually stay at the "Bungalows". Its a bed and Breakfast a couple of blocks from downtown. I believe they have 1 and 2 room studios. It is American owned and a pretty place. Also, the price is right. Drawback is that it is a few blocks from downtown. The wife and I just came back from Cabo a couple of months ago and we stayed at the "Hotel Cabo San Lucas". Not cheap, but a classic. The whole place is approx 2500 acres. Private beaches and coves, secluded. The place has been around for a while. Bing Crosby, John Wayne, etc used to stay at this place. Drawback is that again, far from down town. Sol Mar is right at the tip and I have stayed there also. Fantastic. You fall asleep listning to the waves crash. Sol Mar is close to downtown. Make sure you go fishing one day.
PM me if I can offer any more reccomendations.

Summers are very hot in Cabos, especially if you are not on the water. Make sure that anyplace you stay has an AC, and is capable of freezing meat.

I stayed at the Solmar 10 years ago this October for our honeymoon. Solmar is on the Pacific side, right on the beach. Nice hotel inside and out. Ocean was very rough, when we were there anyway. We would have rather stayed in a hotel on the Sea of Cortez side. Solmar is a short taxi or long walk to town. After dark, don't wander away from the tourist area.......The fishing is world class. They have an almost year round marlin season, also lots of tunas, dorados and wahoo off shore. Roosters and snappers closer to shore. We booked our fishing trips ahead of time through Fishing International....BIG MISTAKE....We paid 50% more than we should have....There were plenty of boats available every morning from small center consoles to large fly-bridges that were eager to take us out for much less than we paid. Back then, catch and release was unheard of.....If it got near the boat it got killed!!!!Granted, not much went to waste as the locals are below poverty level and they pick the bones clean for meals. It was sad seeing all the billfish hung on the scales each day... From what I have heard, they are much better now tagging and releasing the billfish at least........My wife and I often reminisced about that trip and although it was nice, we would try some other places before running back to Cabo. We have been to several islands in the Caribbean and also the east coast of Mexico and they were just as nice and the fishing was just as good and we saved over a thousand dollars compared to Cabo....

I stayed at the Hilton and it was great. The rooms are huge and the bathroom is as big as a living room....

The fishing was great also...

Check out Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. They have two room places that you can rent there. Extremely nice, they have five different swimming pools, 5 or 6 restaurants. I have been there twice and absolutely love it.
