Does anyone have any comments regarding the ride sitting sideways on the bench seat while running, the bait (menhadden) keeping ability of the 42 gallon live well with 800 gph pump, or know anything about a fish box option in the deck? How about pricing? Looking at 2520 DVSC w/ twin F150's, full transom w/ storage, bracket w/ dive ladder, rocket launcher, fresh water wash.
The fish box is around $1300, and from what I have heard, it is not well insulated. I opted for a 270qt icey-tech, 1/4th the price and it makes a great seat as well. As for price there was just a Post your Parker price thread, look back a few weeks, there were a few prices in there. Mine was posted there as well. Just two more weeks and the boat will be here
Yea John it should be here on the 23rd. I'm ready!!!
Bottom.....With the size of the cockpit on the 2520, there is plenty of room for a 270qt cooler on the deck. I took a ride on a 2520 that had 2-270s mounted to the deck and there was still plenty of room. I'm not going to mount mine, that way I have the freedom to move it around the deck depending on what type of fishing we are doing. If you get one, get the cushion that goes on top, now you have extra seating for 3.
You're gonna pay top dollar now if you order a 2520. If you can hold off, wait until Oct or Nov. The dealers are a lot more willing to deal since the boats are coming in whether they sell them or not. The boat show price out here a few months ago for the same setup (twin 150's, deep vee with new trailer) was 79K. Probably get it 4-5K cheaper in October. Also, it doesn't matter where you buy it as long as you register it in that dealers territory right after you purchase it. If you know someone in the area use their address. The Parker "dealer territory" is B.S. Probably legal but sure seems like collusion to me. In different areas you can get different prices. Worth shopping around to save thousands and to hell with that territory crap. Whatever happened to free enterprise? We should be able to shop around for the best deal, period.
As for bait tanks, the Parker ones look pretty cheesy and too small. Check out www.offshoreproducts.com Much better option than the factory tanks.
Jason: I bought the Icey Tek 170Long for my boat. It sits at the stern, over the hatch that accesses the bilge. I had to put some small rubber feet on the cooler to raise it a tad, but that added the benefit of making is more stable and it doesn't slide at all.
I can quickly move it to the center of the boat and have it as a center fish box too. I like the ability to move it around.

Just looked these up.... what makes them so good that they are so expensive?
Esfishdoc: I got my 170L Icey Tek for $389 Delv to me. (Ebay deal) I dunno why they are supposed to be so much better than an Igloo, other than insulation properties.(but that's a biggie) They seem very well built, but I honestly don't know if they are worth that much more than an Igloo of similar size.
There aren't any Igloos over 162qt, so if you need a larger fishbox, you're kinda stuck with another brand.

Esfishdoc, don't look at them on the computer, go look at one in person.. Even if it doesn't hold ice longer than an igloo, it is built 100 times stronger. As many 160qt igloos as I have had to replace over the last 10 years due to cracked lids, fish fins putting holes inside the cooler, or other structural issue, I could have bought a couple of Icey-teks. They are not for everyone, and if you never use your cooler as a seat then yes you most likely don't need one. Their construction is what sold me You can't take anyone’s word for anything on these forums, you have to experience them for yourself.. Go out and take a look.
