Start of Season Help Just getting the boat ready to dunk and have a few issues. Hope you guys can help.
*I have a 2 battery system with a switch on my 21' CC. The 2nd battery & switch were installed after the first.. The first battery needs replaced- not getting much cranking power even after a charge. My question is, do both the batteries have to be the same? At this time, they are both deep cycle batteries. I do not run much in the way of electronics, so I thought I could keep the battery switch on 1 and use a starting battery. The 2nd would be used as a reserve. If I do this, would I ever turn the switch to 'both'.
My other question regards my '03 150 carbed Yami. It has about 250 hours on it. I hooked it up to the hose, started it and blew the fogging oil out, then changed the plugs. SHe seems to be running fine, but at times there is some minimal RPM drops and/or engine coughing. It has sat for the winter- could this be just blowing out bad gas? My mechanic was over and he seemed worried and wants to do a bunch of tests. I just moved to this area and this is a new mechanic- not sure if he is taking me for a ride. I know there is some ethanol in my gas because they put 10% in all NY gas. WHat do you think- should I be worried?
Thanks in advance! |
