Default Raleigh Boat Show - Tidewater 230LXF (?)

Hi all -

Been lurking here for awhile, but first time posting.

Did anyone here attend the Raleigh Boat Show and see the new modified Tidewater? If so, could you post pictures and your impression? I am considering it as an alternative to the Sea Hunt Ultra for a combination of family cruising (major use) and fishing (minority).

Tidewater's website is not yet updated, but reportedly they will publish details soon.

thanks in advance

I saw it but just like the 230cc the small cockpit space is what turns me off to Tidewater. IMO the 234 Ultra has much better cockpit space.

I looked at these and opted for the Sea Fox 220 XT and absolutely love it.

We went with the 234. I didn't like the inability to walk around on the starboard side of the Tidewater. The flare and broken shearline look great for a production boat, though. Wider beam is also nice. I didn't like the console or the leaning post.

By the way, I took a couple pics but they're only exterior shots.

It's not a true center console. Has a bench seat in the rear and the starboard side is blocked off kind of like the Sea Hunt Edge 24.

Nice rig Tunabelly, I have the 216cc, white on white. Good luck with it, I love mine... What model venture trailer is that?

Nice boat!
Were there good deals at the boatshow or pretty standard pricing?

The folding rear bench is an option but im not sure about the starboard side being blocked part. Sounds interesting, gonna keep an eye out for that.

Thanks Tidelee, I couldn't be happier with mine as well and that white on white is the way to go. Not to sure which venture, I think its the vbt-5600.

Thank you, I actually got this one about 3 months ago up in PA and had it transported to south FL. Got a pretty good deal up there, let me know if you need a contact.

It's not the folding bench you're thinking of on the CC. It's solid, and spans the width of the boat, like the Sea Hunt Ultra series, or Sportsman 229.

The bow seating wraps around...kind of like a horseshoe shape. Only port is open from cockpit to bow.

Oh nice, never mind. It's pretty cool that the're adding to their line up, that website needs an update asap.

I thought so too...I.didn't like it, but there must be a demand for it among non-fisher-folk!

I received some pictures taken at the Raleigh boat show so I thought I'd share them here. Port side bow cushions are laying down in the last pic. Seems like access via starboard is either obstructed, or you remove the backrest and cushion and step up.
