What's the best single bit of boating advice you ever received? I think the best single sentence of advice I ever got about boating was the answer to "How big a boat should I buy?".
Someone said- "First figure out what you want to do with the boat, then buy the smallest sized boat that let's you safely do that thing."
The more experience I get, the smarter that advice seems to be. The guy was not saying buy a small boat, he was saying don't buy more than you need.
