Saw a JBBW flats boat today. Looked alot like a Bayshore. Very good looking boat. How many did they make? How much do they run? Had teak palm beach style steering pod and teak toe rail and a huge carolina flair. God, I love boats w/ that flair. Make my head turn almost as fast as a set of 36D's.
they are avalible through most Plastic surgeons--a good pair will cost about $7500 but lesser quality are about $5000--beleive me, this is one place where you get what you pay for. The good ones are worth the extra $.
The Jarrett Bay was built by Peter Plott, the same guy that built the Bayshore. I believe there were only two built for JB. They were cold molded and nicely done. I had the opportunity to work on one of the JB's when I was with Bayshore.
i wish i could afford a Jarett, they are the nicest by far. looks at there 26 and then look at regulators. the JB makes the regulator look like a seaswirl

I assume this is a joke.
The 26-27 Jarrett Bay I saw a few years back looked like JB forgot to finish it. Was one of the roughest interiors I had seen on anything other than a workboat. This boat had a single inboard. Was not impressed at all, couldn't believe someone would pay 75-80-90k for the boat. Much rather have a Reg as far as finish, speed, comfort, space utilization as if I have a choice of either.
Looked at the JB 32 with twin Verados Fri at the Charleston Show... No tower, hell no windshield !!! bare boat ,small cuddy, berth, head , leaning post centered behind the helm seat !! Whats with that..... yea it had good flare and lines in a Art deco kind of way.... but $245K !!!! Then you got 25-40K more to get it offshore ready ...
Good sharp entry but not much deadrise .. Gotta be more to this than I could see !!
I've heard that Jarrett Bay built the first two Bayshore boats (they weren't called Bayshore at the time). I've also heard that they built six. Not sure which is accurate. The ones built by Jarrett Bay were cold molded from what I'm told.
FYI - The JB flats boat is/was made by Chaos Boatworks. Their web site is "Under Construction", but you can locate tech data & pics on this boat through a web search.
VERY expensive 16'er!!
