How shallow??

There are tons...Majek, Explorer, Transport, Mowdy, Flatsmaster, Flats cat, Shallow Sport, Shoalwater and the list goes on

If I was picking a center console, strictly Redfish boat for the flats it would be a Transport. VERY solid reputation, no wood, all composite construction, family owned and reasonably priced.

You need to specify the state/region you fish. The best redfish boat for FL is not the best choice in TX

I fish the marsh around Cocodrie, La. and I have an 18 ft. Shallowsports. Great boat and will get shallow. Power is a Tohatsu 115. On calmer days I can take it out to the islands, but when the bay is fairly choppy I don't even try. All in all a great boat and I also fly fish. Ken

Majek (pronounced MY-YAK) is the baddest thing Ive seen. Sight fishing shallow ponds strictly for the redfish tournaments.

My buddies has a tower, it is a seriously incredible machine.

Put a trp lower unit on it and it really takes skill to get it stuck (although he's done it a few times lol).

Very very nice boat... That's going to go on the search list... I love push polling in the grass flats in Cocodrie so need a boat also light enough to push...

I have got to agree..........A great boat for Florida will not work in Texas..........Here in Texas you need a shallow boat, a technical poling skiff. The following are the ones I would look at; Maverick, East Cape Skiff, Hells Bay, Cheattum, Yellow Fin 17.........Nuff Said

Have had my FlatsCat for ~12 years now. Hard to beat for chasing reds in skinny water. There are trade-offs in speed and handling but we go places the Florida style flats boats just can't go. It's ugly as hell too, but for Louisiana reds in shallow ponds only a kayak could do much better.

My cousin has a Shalow Craft and it does well too, but it's not near as stable or sturdy built.

If you truly want to pole I am not sure the Texas boats fit the bill. They do run skinny but most do not have poling platforms for a reason. Mavrick, ECC, Hells Bay all will pole very skinny and very quitely.

Let me know if you guys need a reasonably priced shallow water stick anchor. I have them in stock ready to ship for $65 to your door.
