I need some help/advice on getting a stain out of my vinyl leaning post seat cushion...
i had strapped a couple ski jackets around the backrest of my leaning post for a drive home from the Keys this weekend (2 hours).. when I got home, took the jackets off the backrest, and... voila! the paragraph or so of USCG info/warning label words imprinted on the inside of the jacket was transposed like a tattoo on the vinyl!! I had done the jackets strapped to the backrest thing this many times before (to save storage areas for other stuff, and - ironically - to keep road stains/bugs off the vinyl), but this has never happened... tried every cleaner I have in my garage to get it off (Joy, Woody Wax boat wash, Orpine boat wash, Simple Green, Lysol with bleach mildew stain remover, StarBrite Rust Stain Remover, StarBrite Black Streak Remover, even abrasives like SoftScrub and Bar Keepers Friend, and finally FSR (Fiberglass Stain Remover)... nothing touched it. Didn't even smudge.
I realize that half of those products are "bad" for vinyl, but I was pretty frustrated! I can live with a discoloration or minimal stains here and there on my vinyl, but having USCG warning label language tattooed diagonally accross a 3rd of my backrest SUX!
Any thoughts/suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!
