RE: 266 sailfish Don't know if there is any difference hull wise. 2003 is when I started fishing Sailfish in the SKA and a good buddy and also SKA fisherman started working for them. Sailfish was making improvements in the boats wiring, options, rigging etc from that time forward. The popularity really started to take off by 2004. Not sure what they were like in 2002, but I would venture to say as long as you check out the switches, wiring, trim tabs, and make sure things screwed and bolted on have 5200 on them you should be fine. The only issue I remember was with wiring, probably the old circuit boards they had on the back of the switch panel. The newer switches and wiring is much better but the old can be easily updated. Also check the feul vent. The old ones that stuck out from the side of the boat could allow salt water into the gas tank. |
