I buy all my electronics and safety gear from consumers marine. Don't know if they are the best price, but their service makes a little extra worthwhile.

If you call, ask if boat show pricing is in effect, usually saves around 10-20%

I recommend the ACR GlobalFix... it has a built in GPS and will broadcast your position. Expect to pay about $850 for a manually deployed unit. Good Luck. Tom.

406?? no such model..406 refers to frequency.
I doubt the company you quoted can beat the THT Vendors here on site considering they guarantee best price.
