Both are nice boats... personally, of just those two brands, I'd prefer the 24' Blazer Bay. You should also check out Champion (24' Bay Champ), and Avenger (25' Avenger)... go to www.rodnreel.com and perform a search to find out about Avenger boats.

ps. of course, in the 22' range you can look below and see what I prefer...

Nothing bad...my personal opinion is the Blazer is a better boat for the fishing I do. The 2220 Pro is a very nice boat with alot of features and options I like. I looked at Tritons very hard, Skeeter, Champion, Ranger, custom Gravois, custom Scully's. Took me over a year to decide.
RE: BLAZER BAY OR BAY STEALTH OR ONE OF THE OTHER BAY BOATS
As I've said in another thread, I really liked the BayStealth until I took a ride in one - the 22-foot liner model. The bow is just too low for me. The owner didn't mind takng a wave over the bow every once in a while, but that's not for me. It is a fine boat for skinny water, but does not perform well in a bay chop. I bought a 22-foot Triton.
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK OF THESE TWO BRANDS IN THE 22-24' RANGE BAY BOATS
shearwater 23/25 LTZ. if i was staying in florida i'd have one of the ones that is at Millers in Ocala in my driveway by now. they are sexy and they fish like they're right out of heaven.
I owned a 2007 Blazer Bay 2220. It was an excellent boat and I would recommend it highly for general family fun and fishing use. Couple of issues that you should know though. First, the 22' model has very little room to get around back of the captains seat. Going with the 24' model would be much better for use (plus has an option of a head under the front seat). The hull was similar to that of a pathfinder boat -- in fact I was told there was a lawsuit over it. I did not love the hull too much as it was very heavy through any size wave. Waves of 2' would small the front (no cutting though). With flat water is was very responsive though. If you want better hull for small waves, it would cost 10K to 15K more. Just wanted you to have all the information so you can make an informed decision. Obviously, I went a little cheaper and was still happy. the better performing boats are the Ranger, Shearwater, etc.
