Default Instrument Panel material

Is ABS plastic sheet a suitable material for an instrument panel. A local shop quoted about $ 40 to construct a 8" x34" panel with cut outs for plotter, Fishfinder , radio, and a couple of guages . Any recoomendations ?

Default RE: Instrument Panel material

That's a cheap price for doing the cutouts for flush mount if you don't own tools !!!
if the material is thin it will not withstand the jarring the units will put on it
