Default Suggestions for Leaning Post for Sea Pro SV2100

I am contemplating removing the swingback seat on my SV2100 and replacing with a leaning post. Any suggestions on a good retro fit leaning post. Don't want to spend a fortune. I saw one at Bass Pro by Taco marine called Neptune that seemed decent. Any feedback? Thanks

I have a 1996 21 Sea Pro center console that had captains chairs. I took those chairs out last spring and replaced them with a leaning post from birdsall marine. The leaning post is great. Very sturdy and room for a 72 quart cooler with strap underneath. Birdsall Marine has a decent website where you can check out their products.

Good luck

I really like my nautical designs leaning post with cooler underneath, two tackle lockers, six tackle drawers, folding footrest, handrail, and four rod holder removable rocket launcher for backrest. See top of it in photo.

I just bought a 04 21' bay SeaBoss, thats basically the same boat. I too wanted to nuke the flip flop seat it comes with....after MUCH looking, and 43 websites later......I came across a guy in Florida, LEANING POST DEPOT. The guys name is Carlos (owner).
He has some AWESOME seats!
I'm getting a 36", pleated vinyl leaning post, with 4 rocket launchers, flip down foot rest, grab bar, underseat storage, AND a removable backrest for the amazing price of $480 + shipping!!
Oh, also...the entire thing is powdercoated white!!!! Also had him put strap rings on the backs of the legs to hold cooler in place.
After looking l o n g and hard, and scrutinizing EBAY for stuff, this guy is by far the "mostest" for the "leastest"!!
It will be here in another few days.Already have my existing seat sold as well!!

LEANINGPOST DEPOT is the name i found him under on a google search.
Email me at : florit279@sbcglobal.net if you cant find him....I'll see if I have his exact website on my work laptop.

Good Luck!!!

I built one out of marine grade aluminum for about $120 worth of material. I then coated it with a "bedliner" spray in colors to match my boat. Find a good welder and tell him what you want. Easy job. Leaning post on a budget. It might be more of a "old" boat idea though. That is what mine was anyway. Not the boat below. This leaning post came factory ordered.

Carlos

I checked out the Leaning Post Depot. Did he increase his price because it was $695 for the Deluxe powder coated post? Post a message here when you receive your shipment. I am very curious if the post meets or exceeds your expectations. What is the turn around time? Thanks

I wish mine had the leaning post as well. Its a real tight fit to work under the console with the cooler seat there. My old seapro had the removable cooler, I liked it better. You buy used, you deal with what you got.

Well...........

Its 5 days later, and I unfortunately have NOT heard from my guy, Carlos. He does not seem to answering the phone. He was sending the seat UPS. c.o.d.
I don't really know whats going on. Kind of a letdown after I had been bragging on him.

If he screws me around, belive me, I will definitely let you guys know.

Anybody have any ideas if he DOES flake off who I might want to call? Reasonable $$?

Thanks

On the florida sportsman website there was always a guy selling leaning posts in the 300.00 range. You might can the for sale section for him. Good Luck..

I found a very similar leaning post to the Birdsall Marine fixed back post from a guy in Hialeah Florida that has a fixed back, 38" inches wide with a flip up seat w/storage beneath, pleated vinyl back rest and seat cushion, 4 rod holders, a cooler bar and flip-up footrest. The price was half of many other builders, even with freight. Well-worth checking them out.

I'll post photo's once I get em.
