Default Ocean Master Rods

Does anyone have any opinion's on there rods, specifically the Offshore Angler® Ocean Master™ Deluxe Stand-Up Rods and the Offshore Angler® Ocean Master™ IGFA Series Rods. I'm looking to buy some Canyon gear, and I already have my 50 class reels and need to buys some rods. The stand-up rods seem to have good components. does anyone what kind of Blanks they use?

One of the boats I fish on has the bent butt Ocean Master rods and they have held up very well. I own 7 of their Kingfish Specials and only had one failure.....operator error "high sticking",but I was able to get it replaed at no charge.

Sorry I have no idea who's blank the heavy rods are, but I am pretty sure the Kingfish Specials I have are on the same blank as an Ugly Stick.

I have 5 50 lb standups. Had one guide come loose right out of the box so I am holding my breath to see how they hold up. Can't tell you about their blanks but I'm sure they probably speak a little chinese.

Seeker and Calstar make several different classes of rods that are very good, bettter and best, and I think if I had to do it over again, this is the way I would go.

WWW.charkbait.com has the best prices and service in my opinion.

Good luck.

Thanks for the responses. I did look at the Calstar rods. I have heard good thinks about them. They are more expensive, but I do plan to own them for a while, so it's probably worth the extra money.

tim,
They have different classes that are actually a lot cheaper than the offshore brand. Take some time to look thru the link I sent you under Seeker.
