Default Filling Holes

I am going to replace my trim tabs with larger tabs this winter. What would you guys suggest is the best way to fill all the old screw holes in the transom? Epoxy? 5200? Thanks for the help...I dont want my boat to have a soggy a$$!

There is a epoxy putty stick that they use to fill the holes in my transom when I repowered. You might look into that as it seems to be working fine on mine.

If using Bennett tabs , I'd email Tom aka Tabman and get some "blank" plates made up that go onto the hull, that hold the tab plane. I'd match the new plates to the old screw pattern, so you don't need to fill in the old ones ... just add new ones on one side or the other.

If Lenco tabs ... all bets are off, as I bet they don't have that type of customer service, but I could be (doubtful) wrong.

Reel Rascals,
I think we had discussed this in the beginning of the winter....Thanks for the help. The boat has "boat leveler" tabs. I was told by Boat Leveler that I could simply put a larger tab on without redoing the entire system since it relatively new and works well. I would like to see if Tab-Man could make me some blanks I could use...but I dont see his forum here anymore...Where is this feller?
Never mind...I found it! Thanks again for your Ideas!

Reel Rascals,
I beg to differ about Lenco's customer service. When I had a problem they were top notch. Sending me a replacement actuator overnight without charge. They also answered all my questions regarding installation and wiring.

PeteF: Noted, that's good to know. Looks like Bennett is having impact, which benefits all consumers. Turns out the tabs in question are from Boat Leveler, we'll see how the poster made out.

I called Lenco's Customer Service to discuss positioning of my tabs on my boat. They are very personable, and each person has a photo and bio on the site. You know exactly who you're talking to.

The gentleman had a long discussion with me, I emailed him some transom pics, and we discussed some more. Definitely top notch customer service.
